I've always wanted to make a capacitance meter. So I searched the internet for some codes and schematics and all of them were too hard or had lots of bugs. So I decided to make one myself with an LCD. I found this tutorial. I copied the code and edited it so it displays the data to an LCD. I works on microFarads, but not nanoFarads (I do not know the reason). But still, making capacitor banks and measuring the capacitance is fun... The schematic
EDIT: I finally had the time to set up a repository for this code. (HERE)
Any contributions are welcome.
I am truly sorry for everybody who waited or couldn't achieve something because of the absence of the code.
Hello there.. I really need to make this cap meter for my assignment. May I ask for the code and the schematic? Please email me at mieyaya.moha318@gmail.com. Hope to have good reply from u.. Thank u in advance.. Really appreciate it :)
Hi! I would love to make this project to test salvaged capacitors from scrapped electronics. I'd love to have the schematics and the code if you feel like sharing it. Thanks in advance! Email: karl.blume{{at}}live.se
Hello, you reading this comment. The code is available in the following GitHub repository: https://github.com/electricmango/ncm I'll have to dig through my files a little more for the schematic, and I shall keep this comment section updated just in case.

Hi, great work, congratulations. I were looking for a project like yours for a while, luckily today I found yours. I downloaded the code you provided in github. I would like to get the schematics, please. I do promise I dont want it for commercial intends, just for using it my own, and never redistribute it. My email is: turquazman@gmail.com thank you
hi there :) Nice Cap-meter! I'd like to make one, could you send me the schematics and the code? I promise not to distribute it anywhere. Cheers Arni Geir -> smaug@simnet.is
This is nice cap meter can u please give me code and schematic so can i build and used it because need it i promise to you that i not distribute it . my email id is :- rohit_rohit2020@yahoo.com (please reply)
I am also requesting the code and schematic. Possibly, I can offer an opinion on why ranges in the pF can not be read. I would not distribute your work. Thanks for sharing a cool project! Email: lwallace@alumni.fit.edu

Hey! You can find a lot of information here: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/CapacitanceMeter I heavily used this page as a reference.
Connect as this schematic (from that page I mentioned above): http://www.arduino.cc/en/uploads/Tutorial/CapacitanceMeterSchem.png Now you just want to connect an LCD to the Arduino.
Source code is available on GitHub, link in the post.
The schematic link is dead. :(
ReplyDeleteI can send the schematic to you personally, if you promise not to redistribute it. If you promise, e-mail, please?
